    the paramount theatre
it was built by the famous players corporation. stanley and stanley architects came up with the modern design.
it opened on july 1, 1952.
the original theatre could seat 1,750.
in 1985 much of the theatre was renovated and reduced the seating capacity to 800.
famous players corp. sold the theatre to private interests in 2003.
currently, it’s rumoured that the building could be demolished to make way for an office or condo tower.

not at the mall is an awesome zine put together by folks in edmonton. AND, it’s free! check out http://wearenotatthemall.tumblr.com/ for info on where you can snag a copy of phase 7.
